IT Services identified an issue with insufficient credits when using Duo to call back on a phone number or using SMS text pushes that began at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The issue was resolved at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
Other methods of authentication were not impacted, such as DUO push with your smartphone, typing in the passcode that you can generate from the DUO application, or entering a one-time passcode that you can download from the 2FA website: https://2fa.uchicago.edu.
