Resolved -
As of 11:00 a.m. RightFax is running normally and working through the backlog of incoming faxes. The source of the issue, a scheduled restart of the RightFax services to install a vendor patch, introduced an unexpected change to several related RightFax services. IT Services restored RightFax to normal operation by adjusting the service account the related services use.

Update -
The RightFax electronic fax service for campus continues to experience a service degradation - medical center RightFax services are not impacted. Inbound faxes received via the RightFax service are not being emailed to users. Outgoing faxes via email, and all interactions with multi-function printers (MFPs), are still working normally; this issue only affects incoming faxes via email.
As a workaround, RightFax access via the web portal is working normally. To access the web portal, connect to the University of Chicago/University of Chicago Medicine Network or via cVPN and navigate to https://voipfax-prd.uchicago.edu/rightfax/user/
IT Services continues working to resolve the issue.
